Ambassador Programme

Our Access and Outreach engagement programme extends to include our UG students through the new Student Ambassador Programme.

Our Outreach Ambassadors work on various schemes and projects to raise the aspirations of students in our local community.

Acting as positive role models, the ambassadors share their experiences of University and student life through the delivery of interactive events both on campus and within schools. Our diverse workforce includes international students, mature students and students from a widening participation background to reflect the broad variety of students we attract at the University of Chichester.

The programme offers UG students employed work by supporting the Access and Outreach Team in the delivery of Learner Progression Framework sessions within schools and colleges (and other University events), as well as offering CPD training designed to 'up-skill' and make the transition from UG to employed Graduate as smooth and successful as possible.

Ambassadors are required to assist and support a wide variety of University events ranging from:

  • Open Days and 'Taster' events
  • Widening Participation sessions with partner schools and colleges
  • Student Recruitment events such as UCAS conventions and HE fairs
  • Other University events such as Graduation ceremonies, etc

This is an excellent opportunity to gain regular and sustained paid work throughout the academic year.  Applicants will need to be motivated, organised and confident to work in a variety of settings undertaking a wide range of activities.
