Targeted Outreach

Enterprising Women

The Enterprising Women Conference takes place in November and runs in conjunction with and supports Global Enterprise Week.

The conference aims to inspire and motivate young women to consider the widest range of career possibilities to ensure they reach their full potential. Using a business breakfast forum, students are given the opportunity to interview successful business women and investigate their progression pathways from school into their current role and focus on their own skills and potential career pathways.

Chi Rocks Summer School

Targeted at songwriters, vocalists and musicians this is a three-day project run jointly by the University of Chichester Music Department and the Access and Outreach Team.

Students spend three days working with musicians, business studies advisers to produce a track and stage a live concert, as well as pitching ideas on how to market their track to a ‘Dragons’ Den’ style panel. The idea behind Chi Rocks is to give students an insight into life at a University through an accessible and creative medium whilst encouraging them to reach their full potential through music.
