Research

After completing the MSc in Sports Performance Analysis, I have taken a keen interest in the analysis of sporting performance and teacher/coach behaviours. During my postgraduate studies I predominantly worked with individuals and teams in the sport of football and this is where my research interests evolved. My main interest within football lies in the area of players visual exploratory activity. As this has developed I am currently investigating coach’s perceptions of visual exploratory activity and the practices they are using to develop this perceptual cognitive skill in players. This research has played a crucial role in informing my coaching philosophy and the development of pedagogical practice in those I educate.
